When received this instrument, it was destined for the trash bin. The gourd was shattered, but most of the pieces were still with the sitar. The headstock faceplate was cleaved, and the sidewall of the dand was split across the middle of one of the pegholes.
We replicated the broken pegs using rubber molds, resin, and hardwood dowels.
This instrument is part of The Registry's permanent collection and is not for sale.
